Civic Hubs: Learning, Metrics, and Microgrants
Prefer to listen rather than read? Here’s an AI podcast version of the Newsletter:
With four learning cohorts — including 27 civic hub builders — now in progress, hands-on learning, sharing, and encouragement are happening! As more communities are recognizing the transformational potential of civic hubs, we are happy to report that our network of communities forming civic hubs is continuing to rapidly grow and develop:
No more re-creating the same wheels. No more being slowed down by trying the same things that have not worked elsewhere. By being connected with each other and having opportunities to share our learnings, we can accelerate all of our community efforts.
In that vein, for the first time ever (and quarterly going forward), all civic hub builders + learning cohorts (plus a select group of advisors and national partners offering support to civic hubs) are invited to virtually come together for a Civic Hubs Learning Community Call on August 27th at 4pm EST!
The goals of the call are to:
Exchange learnings & innovations across learning cohorts
Create connections between hub builders, learning cohorts, and national partners
Increase civic hubs’ awareness of available support from national partners that they can invite into our communities
Enhance national partners’ awareness of community-level needs and energies
Each learning cohort is requested to have at least one representative attend the call and be prepared to speak to major learnings, “aha” moments, and results of attempted community actions from your cohort.
Other civic hub builders are encouraged, but not expected, to attend.
